Russian Foreign Ministry reports: 9 more countries will launch visa-free regime for Russians soon | TURIZM

This became known from a statement by Alexei Klimov, head of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, to TASS journalists.

The diplomat spoke about the work with 9 states on the revision of visa requirements for short-term visits of Russians not exceeding 90 days.

Nikita Kondratiev, head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, noted that the start of short-term visa-free trips of Russian tourists to Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Oman, Myanmar, Bahrain and several countries of the African continent is expected as early as 2025.

Thailand has already changed the visa-free entry status for tourists from Russia to 60 days from temporary to permanent. These changes affected not only Russians, but also tourists from China and 93 other countries.

Visa-free entry to Sri Lanka has been open since October 1, 2024 for Russian and Belarusian tourists, as well as for travelers from 33 other countries.

Indonesia also wants to introduce a visa-free regime for Russians in 2025.
